HOXTON WORKS

Hoxton Works is a unique period building home of different creative business. The building was original built in 1929 as Queen Mary Hostel, a place to house local working girls, and was fully refurbished as a workspace in 2005 by Hoxton Hall Charity. The building refurbishment was made possible by funding from the European Regional Development Fund and Shoreditch Trust.

Neighbouring Hoxton Works is Hoxton Hall, an iconic grade II* listed Victorian Music Hall. Hoxton Hall has recently been refurbished with the support of the Heritage Lottery Fund and offers tenants access to a bookable meeting room and a range of spaces suitable for larger scale meetings, conferences, product launches, rehearsals and performances.

The theatre can be hired alongside any of our other spaces to cater for a range of events from concerts to weddings. Access to the theatre is either through the main entrance on Hoxton Street, or through the rear door in Wilkes Place.

Steeped in theatrical history theatre, our theatre is the only surviving example of a Victorian Salon style music hall in the UK.
